Enabling Innovation: Operationalising technology platforms to enable experimentation and scale

Session Abstract

Your business has ideas and ambitions to transform with AI. Over the last 18 months of working with clients in the Microsoft Innovation Hub, the biggest blocker to AI transformation has been the ability of organisations to enable technical experimentation. All of those clients' business users have great ideas but many IT departments are unable to deliver them as they have not operationalised the platforms that are needed to enable AI. In this session I share the steps that we advise our clients to follow that enable them to experiment with technology in a safe, secure, well governed way. From defining the principles in an AI council to executing of environment life-cycles to the route-to-live processes that enable pilots, these steps provide a checklist that enables a safe way to experiment and then fail or scale at speed.
