Session Abstract

For the past two decades, SharePoint enthusiasts have championed the use of metadata over folders, content types, and approval processes. With the advent of Generative AI solutions like Copilot, the necessity for a reliable information repository has become paramount for many organisations. In this session, we will delve into the essentials of building and managing a curated content repository. Key topics include: - SharePoint Architecture: Understanding site types and hub sites. - Content Types and Term Sets: Structuring and organising your content. - Automation: Leveraging tools like Syntex and Power Automate. - Lifecycle Management: Ensuring your content remains relevant and up-to-date. - Consumption Options: Exploring how Copilot and Open AI can enhance knowledge accessibility. By the end of this session, you will have a comprehensive understanding of the building blocks required to create a robust Knowledge Management System and the various ways this knowledge can be utilised by end users.
