Securing AI End-to-End: Microsoft’s Integrated Approach with Purview, Defender & Entra

Artificial Intelligence brings innovation, but it also expands the attack surface and raises risks about governance, compliance, and trust such as leaked sensitive information to or through AI, jailbroken AI, etc. In this session, we’ll explore how the Microsoft Security and Governance stack—including Defender for AI, Entra ID agent, and especially Purview for AI—works together to safeguard the entire AI lifecycle. You’ll learn how to: 1) Govern AI data estates with Purview for AI to ensure transparency, lineage, and compliance. 2) Detect, prevent, and respond to AI-specific threats with Microsoft Defender for AI. 3) Strengthen identity and access management for AI workloads using Entra ID agent. 4) Protecting AI workloads at data, model, application, platform and identity layer, Through practical scenarios and best practices, this session will demonstrate how enterprises can create responsible, secure, and auditable AI systems that balance innovation with compliance and trust. We will also be covering a few solutions that are in roadmap at the time of submission of this abstract.
