Session Abstract

Working together in teams on a project, collaborating around a topic is part of our daily routines. Being part of a team is not only focused on internal colleagues, but often a mix of an internal team of people working together with a customer, partner, or vendor. Microsoft 365 supports this scenario by sharing documents with external users, which allows real-time co-authoring on documents, and adding guest accounts to a team in Microsoft Teams to collaborate within a team similarly as internal collaboration with colleagues. Sharing documents and data with external users requires additional controls to ensure secure collaboration. Using Teams Shared Channels requires more advanced configuration with Azure AD cross-tenant access settings. It's up to IT to find the right balance between security vs productivity. This session covers recommended practices on setting up a secure external collaboration environment within your Microsoft 365 tenant. Which can be achieved by using Microsoft Teams Shared Channels, Azure AD B2B Collaboration, Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) and DLP to keep in controls of your data. This demo heavy session is not only covering recommended practices but shows real live samples.
