Session Abstract

This session provides a comprehensive look at modernizing document-centric workflows using the Document Processing Agent in Copilot Studio. We'll begin with a brief technical overview of traditional document processing techniques from SharePoint, AI Builder, etc, and then introduce the Document Processing Agent as a packaged, low-code solution designed to simplify end-to-end document automation. The core of this session is a detailed, side-by-side comparison of the Document Processing Agent against these legacy methods. We will analyse key factors critical to IT professionals: • Difficulty: Comparing the steep learning curve of data labelling and model training with the Agent's intuitive, guided configuration. • Cost: Evaluating the total cost of ownership, including development time, maintenance, and licensing for each approach. • Speed & Efficiency: Contrasting the time-to-value for deployment, from weeks or months with custom solutions to hours with the Agent. • User Experience: Highlighting the seamless user experience with the Agent's built-in Validation Station You will leave with a clear understanding of when and how to leverage the Document Processing Agent to deliver rapid, scalable, and user-friendly document automation solutions within their organization's existing IT infrastructure.
