Session Abstract

Cloud security is no longer just about compliance reports and security recommendations. Organizations need to understand which findings actually matter, how risks are connected, and which exposures could lead to compromise of critical assets. In this session, we will explore how Microsoft Defender for Cloud CSPM helps security teams move beyond traditional posture management towards a risk-based approach to cloud security. You will see how CSPM provides visibility into cloud resources, identities, data, and security misconfigurations across Cloud environments. Through practical demonstrations, we will examine how critical assets are identified, how security findings can be prioritized and how capabilities such as Attack Path Analysis help uncover potential routes attackers may use to reach high-value targets.

His main areas are Microsoft Azure, Enterprise scale architectures, Cloud Security, Governance, Hybrid and Migration. Gregor is an active member of the global Microsoft community and regularly attends community conferences, runs his own Azure blog (www.reimling.eu) and the Cloud Inspires (www.cloudinspires.me) podcast. He is the founder of the Azure Bonn Meetup with more then 1000 members, a local Azure user group near Cologne and co-founder of the Cloud Identity Summit, an annual conference focusing on identity management and security.
