Session Abstract
What a team from Osijek does within a multinational company (Eviden) on develpment of most modern systems for communication in ralways as opposed to GSM-R (established in 2000. with ~25yrs lifecycle, for which in Croatia, believe it or not, we have a public tender this year). The talk will firstly establish the level of audience understanding/tech provess and focus around: - intro into technological spectrum for this kind of system in a country-wide deployment - story on GSM-R and how it works (around EU and not in Croatia :), yet) (Eviden has supposedly the only GSM-R test-lab in Croatia since the time we were part of Siemens) - story of FRMCS-u and what is planned within scope of standards (Eviden has FRMCS projects and is member of related standardization associations/conglomerates) - standardization undertakings and what do we do from Osijek - a life-example - one projekt example and talk about process levels, tech i challenges (Microsoft SW in such projects, RedHat, Oracle, functionals & nonfunctionals and how it's solved technologically) - Q&A Predavanje ce biti s uvodnim ispipavanjem znanja publike, ali okvirno: - uvod u tehnoloski spektar - prica o GSM-Ru i kako to sve radi (Eviden ima valjda jedini GSM-R test-lab u Hrvatskoj jos od vremena Siemensa) - prica o FRMCS-u i sto se tu standardno planira (Eviden radi na FRMCS projektima) - standardizacijski pothvati i sto tu radimo - primjer iz zivota - sto znaci raditi projekt na tom nivou, tehnologije i izazovi (Microsoft SW u takvim projektima, RedHat, Oracle, funkcionalni i nefunkcionalni zahtjevi i kako ih tehnologije rjesavaju) - Q&A

Atos Distinguished Expert for Immersive Experience and Automation domains, Architect in Atos Convergence Creators from Osijek. Head of Mission Critical Services and Control Application R&D. Working in the industry since 2003 in various other roles. Supporting research and development and general engineering and introduction of new applied technologies. Currently mainly doing cloud based solutions and big data oriented systems, architecture, design and solution engineering. Does initial prototyping and enables and leads teams for projects in critical communication domain of Big Data and Security division. Currently is also main contact for student mentoring and practices for our Atos Convergence Creators Osijek location. Lately introducing new and innovative technologies in existing products and solutions for product pipelines, creating Mission Critical Service products. Holds university talks and conference appearances when time permits. Also part of Osijek Software City as a private member.
