Session Abstract

For anyone whose governance programme is producing artefacts instead of decisions. Most governance programmes begin by declaring governance: a charter, a glossary, a catalogue, a list of appointed stewards. Months later the charter is dated, the glossary is half in draft, and not one published figure has changed. This session argues the opposite order. Governance is not the precondition of arbitration — it is what arbitration leaves behind. One indicator, one named owner, one session, one decision, written down.

Isabelle Van Campenhoudt is a MVP DataPlatform who has been working for more than 20 years in the world of databases; she lives in Belgium and has strong experience in Business Intelligence and Database Administration. Trainer (Microsoft Certified Trainer), speaker and consultant, she uses to collaborate with developers (databases design and performance) and infrastructure team.
