Session Abstract

Secondary Title: A Case Study of Project Siena and Project Kratos Delve with me into the ins and outs of the citizen development tools from the 2010s during the live demo and discover what lessons we can learn from it for the future. Over the past 25 years, low-code/no-code platforms have radically transformed the way applications are built and deployed. At the forefront of this revolution is Microsoft’s Power Platform (Gartner® Magic Quadrant™), which has democratized app development, enabling both developers and non-developers to create powerful applications without deep programming expertise. This presentation explores the evolution of Canvas Apps and Microsoft’s low-code offerings, beginning with Project Siena in the 2010s, and tracing its development into today’s robust Power Platform ecosystem.
