Join me as I delve into the evolution of citizen development tools, starting with a live demo of the 2013 Canvas apps engine, and discover the lessons we can learn from it for the future. Over the past 50 years, low-code/no-code platforms have radically transformed the way applications are built and deployed. At the forefront of this revolution is Microsoft’s Power Platform (Gartner® Magic Quadrant™), which has democratized app development, enabling both developers and non-developers to create powerful applications without deep programming expertise. This presentation examines the evolution of Dynamics, Canvas Apps, and Microsoft’s overall low-code offerings, tracing their development into today’s robust Power Platform ecosystem.
