Level Up just got a serious upgrade: with the new Custom Commands in version 4, you can turn your favorite JavaScript / CRM snippets into first class tools that live right inside your favorite browser extension , tailored to your Dataverse and model‑driven apps. Level Up is one of the go-to browser extensions for Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform, but in this session we will skip the already built-in functionalities and dive straight into its newest superpower: Custom Commands. Introduced in version 4 in summer 2025, Custom Commands let you extend Level Up with your own JavaScript and Web API logic, so your everyday debugging and admin tricks become one-click experiences instead of copy-paste console hacks, bookmarklets or using different tools. You will see how to use these commands to pull deep insights out of Dataverse and Model-Driven Apps: from surfacing hidden Dataverse form and metadata details to documenting your data model and security configuration, all the way to spinning up realistic test data in seconds. Along the way, we will discuss what the Level Up executor allows (and blocks), how to stay within the supported XRM client API, and which patterns work best for fast, reliable commands. The session includes “vibe-coded” examples and learnings from the vibe coding sessions, showing how to design your own mini-extensions with a consistent look and feel, so they behave like a coherent toolbox instead of random snippets glued together. You will leave with ready-to-adapt samples, a checklist of gotchas to avoid when writing Custom Commands.
