Session Abstract

Skills have become a quick way to teach Copilot how your organization works. They are reusable instructions and workflows, built in Copilot Studio or directly in Copilot Chat. Microsoft's new model changes how you distribute them. Plugins are now the way to package AI components across Microsoft Copilot. A plugin can bundle skills, connectors, agents and MCP servers into one package. In this session we follow that journey end to end. We start with building skills in Copilot Studio and Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat. Then we look at how the plugin model packages those skills, together with connectors, agents or MCP servers. Finally, we publish a plugin to the registry and see how admins control it. Through live demos, you'll see a real skill turned into a plugin. You'll leave knowing when a skill is enough, when it should become a plugin, and how to plan for governance from the start.
