Session Abstract

Copilot agents are rapidly evolving from simple assistants into intelligent orchestrators of complex tasks. In this session, we will explore the evolution of Copilot agents from an introductory overview to the latest innovations that are redefining the very concept of an agent: the multi-agent architecture and the Model Context Protocol (MCP). These innovations mark a new frontier in agent capabilities. With the multi-agent architecture, Copilot agents can now collaborate with one another, specializing in distinct tasks and coordinating to solve complex scenarios more efficiently and at scale. Supporting this new distributed intelligence, the Model Context Protocol (MCP) introduces a powerful mechanism to extend agent capabilities, enabling dynamic connections to external knowledge servers and data sources. This session is designed for architects and business decision makers who want to understand how to fully leverage the potential of these new features.
