Over the last decade, I worked on Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O across multiple industries and countries, including 5,000+ users implementations. From early strategic decisions, to post go-live operational reality, through all the avoidable mistakes. Today, I provide independent D365 F&O strategic advisory, helping CIOs & IT directors get clarity, reduce risk, and make better decisions. What makes my advice different is that my background is business engineering, not just IT. I understand how companies operate, not only how software works. So I advise on how the ERP affects your business holistically. I usually get involved in one of three situations: 1. You decided to implement D365 F&O and you're working out what comes next. — Have we defined what success looks like, beyond going live on time and on budget? — How do we choose a system integrator without taking their pitch at face value? — What needs to be true inside our business before we start? 2. The implementation is underway, but doubts are appearing. — Are we being given the right advice, or advice that suits our system integrator? — Is the proposed solution really fit for our business operations long-term? — Are we on track, or are we burning the budget without making real progress? 3. You're already live, and you're questioning whether the ERP is working as it should. — Are we paying for too many D365 licenses we don't need? — Is our strategy still sound now that we’re live in some countries but still rolling out in others? — Is the ERP still supporting us and how we evolved since we first implemented it? In all three cases, there is usually no independent perspective in the room. Microsoft is focused on selling the product. Partners are focused on selling and delivering the implementation. Recommendations get shaped around those incentives. Things get done and decisions get made out of inertia or because someone says that's the right way. But is it, really? The responsibility for getting it right still sits with the business. But the business rarely has the experience to challenge what it's being told. As an independent advisor, I help you: — See what's behind the vendor recommendations — Challenge assumptions before they become expensive decisions — Make choices you can stand behind long after the system integrator is gone When the work calls for more than advisory (architecture, functional, or technical) I bring in my team of independent experts I worked with for years. If you're evaluating, implementing, or running D365 F&O and want an independent perspective, book a call with me.
