AI, AI… What’s Next? A Guide for the Confused

Session Abstract

AI is everywhere — Copilots, agents, automations, generative models. The slides look great, roadmaps are packed, and expectations keep growing. But what actually makes sense for your organization? This session is a practical guide for leaders and decision-makers who feel overwhelmed by the growing number of AI options. We’ll walk through the Power Platform and AI landscape from a business perspective: when to use Copilots, when agents or traditional automation are a better fit — and when it’s perfectly valid to not use AI at all. We’ll cover: • how to make technology decisions in the middle of AI hype, • real costs (licensing, implementation, and organizational impact), • limitations and risks that rarely show up in demos, • and how to avoid overengineering and “AI for the sake of AI”.
