Session Abstract

Should you build on a SharePoint site or use SharePoint Embedded in your own app? In this session, we build the same project document management solution twice. Once with a SharePoint Site and once with SharePoint Embedded. We compare how both approaches handle storage, permissions, user experience, and lifecycle management. Along the way, we highlight architecture, implementation steps, and trade-offs. You’ll leave with clear guidance on when to use standard SharePoint capabilities and when to choose an app-centric model.

Note to event organizers

Demo-heavy, live build, real code and some Architecture Slides. The goal is to give attendees clear decision guidance, not just theory. The demos are production-inspired (permissions, lifecycle, UX trade-offs).
