Ready to take your PowerShell skills beyond copying mysterious scripts from the internet and hoping the red text goes away? This session dives into real enterprise automation across Microsoft 365, Azure and Azure DevOps. We will explore practical scripting techniques, reusable patterns and the tools that can help you automate administration, simplify development and keep large environments under control. You will learn how to build reliable automation for complex tasks, authenticate securely across multiple services and troubleshoot the wonderfully descriptive errors that Microsoft occasionally gives us. Using real scenarios, we will create fast Microsoft 365 reports that are not available out of the box, automate tenant migrations and file share migrations, and extend Microsoft 365, Azure and Azure DevOps when the official APIs do not quite provide what we need. We will also look at performance, logging, error handling, parallel processing, permissions and script design. The goal is to build automation that can survive production, be understood by someone other than its original author and preferably continue working after Friday afternoon. Expect practical demonstrations, useful patterns, questionable error messages and plenty of PowerShell. By the end, you will be ready to automate the repetitive work, investigate the difficult problems and take much greater control of your Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
