In this session, we will dive into the Copilot Retrieval API : a tool that lets you query Microsoft’s own hybrid index to get fresh, relevant answers straight from your content. We will look at how it understands our natural language prompts, pulls the right snippets from SharePoint, OneDrive, and connectors, and keeps everything secure and permission-aware. We will learn how to narrow searches with KQL filters, combine different sources, and even blend this approach with custom indexing when we need more control. By the end, we will know how to make our generative AI apps smarter, faster, and lighter: without maintaining another index or breaking compliance rules. Think of it as RAG without the extra baggage.
