Lost in Branding? Navigating the Microsoft 365 Copilot Puzzle

Session Abstract

Your organisation has logos, colours, fonts, templates and brand guidelines and it uses Microsoft 365 Copilot. Microsoft 365 now has at least four different places where those assets might live. So how do the pieces fit together? As Microsoft 365 Copilot evolves, branding is no longer limited to Office themes and templates. We now have Copilot Brand Kits, SharePoint Brand Center, organisational asset libraries (OAL), and emerging brand-aware experiences across the Microsoft 365 Apps and Microsoft 365 Copilot. The result? Confusion for users, uncertainty for administrators, and difficult governance decisions for organisations trying to balance creativity with brand consistency. In this practical session, we'll help you navigate the puzzle by exploring how Microsoft's branding capabilities fit together. You'll see what a modern Copilot Brand Kit contains, understand the differences between personal, shared and official Brand Kits, and learn how they interact with SharePoint Brand Center, OAL and the Microsoft 365 Apps. We'll walk through real-world demonstrations across Copilot Create, PowerPoint, Word and Excel, including Brand Kit capabilities, branded content generation, and strict brand adherence settings. We'll also identify which puzzle pieces are already in place, which are still evolving, and where administrators need to make informed design and governance decisions. You'll leave with: - A clear understanding of Microsoft's branding features across Microsoft 365 - Guidance on choosing between Brand Kit, Brand Center and OAL - Practical governance recommendations for enterprise deployment - An understanding of licensing, rollout and language considerations - A realistic view of current limitations, gaps and future opportunities Whether you're a Microsoft 365 administrator, adoption specialist, designer or power user, this session will help you put the pieces together and build a branding strategy that works with Copilot rather than against it. Level: 300, with enough grounding that no prior Brand Kit experience is assumed.
