Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping the cybersecurity landscape—but is it making us safer, or introducing new risks? Join this session to go beyond the hype and explore how AI is actually being used today in both cyber defence and cyberattacks. From AI-powered threat detection and automated response to "attacker AI", you’ll get a practical and real view of what’s going on in the cybersecurity trenches. Some of the challenges we will question: AI governance and data loss, overreliance on automation, and the ethical implications of machine-driven security decisions. Some of the questions we’ll (try) to answer: • Where AI delivers real value in cybersecurity today (and where it doesn’t) • How attackers are leveraging AI to bypass traditional defences • Key risks and blind spots in AI-powered security systems • Practical considerations for adopting AI securely in your organization
