The Microsoft Teams SIP Gateway enables certified SIP devices to connect to the Microsoft Teams platform. A lot has changed and evolved since the technology was introduced in December 2021. In addition to the familiar SIP IP phones, we can now easily connect DECT environments, analog devices and paging systems to Microsoft Teams. I have successfully implemented the Microsoft Teams SIP Gateway in several customer projects and would like to share my knowledge and experience with you. In this session, you will get an overview of the current state of the Microsoft Teams SIP Gateway. Which devices are currently supported, which features do you get when you connect your devices via the Teams SIP Gateway and what you have to consider.
I work as Cloud Architect at glueckkanja AG where I am responsible to plan and deploy UC infrastructures based on Microsoft technologies. I'm working as technician and consultant for more than 15 years and been specialized in Microsoft Lync/Skype for Business and Microsoft Teams for 10 years. From beginning of my UC consultant career, I was focused on Enterprise Voice implementations. Since a few years I am co-organizer of the Microsoft Teams User Group Germany and involved in the community as speaker and blog post author. In March 2020, I started my own Office 365 YouTube channel where I publish on a regular basis new video content for my weekly “Office 365 QuickTipps” channel. In another YouTube project, we publish a German Microsoft 365 Talk together with my friend Michael Plettner. Since July 2021, I have been recognized as a Microsoft MVP for Office Apps & Services for my commitment to the Microsoft Tech Community.
