Session Abstract

Azure provides numerous opportunities for organizations to innovate by providing a platform where teams can quickly build applications using native cloud services. This approach also comes with some drawbacks. Usually, because of a lack of knowledge, some teams don't use native services and features to improve the security of their applications. In this demo-depend session, we will check all the major security features like RBAC / Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) for authentication and authorization, Key Vault, Managed Identities, and app configurations. We will also cover some security best practices for networking and services like App Services, Storage Accounts, and CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and GitHub. Get ready for a security upgrade!

Tiago Costa is a Cloud Architect / Advisor and International speaker for the Microsoft Cloud. For the past years, he has been architecting and developing solutions using Microsoft Azure for some of the fortune 500 companies. Due to his solid real-world experience, Tiago regularly teaches Microsoft Azure classes worldwide. Microsoft Azure MVP since 2016 for his community efforts in promoting and sharing knowledge with the community. Tiago has 50+ Microsoft Certifications, including MCT – Microsoft Certified Trainer, and got awarded as MCT Regional Lead since 2016. He’s the founder and Leader of the Azure Portugal User Group.
