Session Abstract

You have been managing Virtual Machines forever, and now developers are deploying applications in containers. What are containers? Do I manage containers like VMs? How does Kubernetes compare to any other management solution I have today? These are all questions we will answer in this session. We will explore the basics of how containers and Kubernetes work from the standpoint of an IT/Ops professional. We will show demos on how to get started with Azure Kubernetes Services, what traditional (real-life) deployments look like, how AKS connects to other Azure services, and more. If you are an ITPro who is being asked to manage Kubernetes on Azure, this session is for you!
