Session Abstract

Microsoft Entra Global Secure Access represents Microsoft’s modern approach to securing access to applications and resources without relying on traditional VPN solutions. This session will explore how the platform can be used to provide secure access to on-premises resources by applying Zero Trust principles. The main focus will be on Microsoft Entra Private Access, its architecture, and the way it connects users to internal applications, servers, and services. Attendees will learn how access decisions can be based on user identity, device posture, location, risk level, and other contextual signals. The session will also highlight the key differences between Entra Private Access and conventional VPN technologies, including security, operational, and user-experience benefits. Practical implementation topics will include infrastructure planning, connector deployment, private resource publishing, and Conditional Access policy configuration. A live demonstration will show how users can securely access internal on-premises services, such as file shares or web apps, from a remote location.

Damir Dizdarevic

Damir Dizdarević is a longtime, and highly rated, lecturer on almost all Microsoft and community conferences in the eastern Europe region. He has over 22 years of IT experience, mostly with Microsoft platforms. He specializes in Identity Management, Security and Server Platforms. He is the author of numerous MOC courses in the field of server and cloud platforms, as well as professional articles in domestic and foreign magazines. He is holding an MVP title for 17 years, and since 2017 Damir is awarded as Microsoft Regional Director, one of only 160 people worldwide. Currently, he is working as a CEO of Logosoft d.o.o.
