Session Abstract

Digital transformation is entering a more mature phase, where artificial intelligence—together with tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Microsoft 365—is becoming a key driver of productivity, decision‑making quality, and competitive advantage. This session presents a business‑focused perspective on digital transformation at the management and board level, emphasizing how AI can move beyond technology adoption to become a strategic initiative that delivers measurable business outcomes. Through real‑world examples, the session highlights the importance of innovation, informed technology selection, and the development of new business models as the foundation of successful transformation. Participants will learn how Microsoft Copilot, business data analytics, and cloud technologies support data-driven decision-making, optimize core business processes, and enhance the customer experience. The session introduces the three key pillars of transformation—business model, data, and agile organization—and explains how leadership can drive change, manage risk, and measure success through KPIs and return on investment within a 6 to 18‑month timeframe. The session also addresses a critical strategic question faced by many organizations today: What happens if we choose not to start digital transformation—and do we truly have a choice? Drawing on the experience of a digital transformation expert team led by the speaker, the session is grounded in hands‑on work with organizations across the region, as well as leadership experience gained as an entrepreneur and CEO of an innovative IT company recognized with more than 120 international awards for IT innovation.

Tomislav Bronzin

Tomislav Bronzin is one of only 165 Microsoft Regional Directors worldwide and a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (M365). He is the founder and CEO of CITUS, a Microsoft partner company specializing in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and modern workplace solutions. As an innovator, he has received 120+ international innovation awards and holds six patents in AI, mixed reality, and cloud technologies. With over 25 years of experience, Tomislav has worked on global and EU projects across 40+ countries, advising governments, IT associations, company boards, and development teams. He helps organizations turn technological innovation into strategic advantage, measurable business outcomes, and sustainable change. Tomislav focuses on AI as a catalyst for enhancing human potential—improving decision‑making, productivity, and collaboration. He is an expert in AI strategy and adoption, particularly through Microsoft 365, Copilot, Power Platform, and Azure. His involvement in the IT and business community has accelerated the digital growth of organizations across Europe. As a Vice President of the IT Association of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, he represents the business community and, as a member of the National Council for Digital Transformation of the Republic of Croatia, promotes influential digital initiatives. Tomislav is a frequent speaker at international conferences, a Senior Lecturer at Algebra Bernays University, author of 40+ research papers, and a member of the National Human Resources Council of the Republic of Croatia.
