With over 15 years of experience in the Dynamics universe (ERP, CRM), I am a Global Technical Architect, CTO, and Associate Director at Dynagile Consulting, a leading partner for Microsoft Business Applications. I am also a Microsoft MVP Business Applications since May 2020 and a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) since June 2020, which demonstrates my passion and expertise in the Microsoft ecosystem. I specialize in Dynamics 365 F&O, POS Retail, Commerce, e-Commerce, Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Field Service, and Project Operations, as well as Power Platform (PowerApps, PowerAutomate, PowerBI, Virtual Agent). I also have extensive knowledge and experience in Azure architecture and AI solutions (ML, Customer Insights, AI Builder, Bot, etc.). My mission is to help customers and partners achieve their business goals and digital transformation through innovative and scalable solutions that leverage the power of Microsoft technologies.
Remember when we dared to envision a post-LCS world back in 2023 ? That journey – which started in a workshop and a wild idea – is now a reality. In this deeply technical session, we’ll show how to start a Dynamics 365 F&O project entirely from PPAC (without anymore LCS at all, routing and forcing any new project only in PPAC way), fulfilling the One Dynamics One Platform vision we’ve been chasing. Expect a hands-on walkthrough: setting up a fresh F&O Unified Dev Environment (UDE) in Power Platform Admin Center, configuring Unified Sandbox (USE) and Unified Production (UPE) instances, and managing the whole lifecycle without a single LCS screen. We’ll cover the nitty-gritty of provisioning (think license and capacity checks, Dataverse linkages), and then plug into CI/CD with Azure DevOps for smooth Unified ALM deployments. By May 2026, Microsoft will (normally!) be rolling out official paths to migrate existing projects from LCS to PPAC – we’ll discuss what that means, how to prepare, and lessons learned from early adopters (including our own PPAC-only projects). Whether you’ve been following this convergence since day one or are just now ready to jump in, this session equips you to hit the ground running. No more LCS hassles – let’s embrace the new normal of F&O in PPAC, with all the tips, tricks, and real-world insights the community has gathered so far.
Read moreIn the new PPAC world of F&O, storage is the new gold – and it’s up to us to manage it wisely. This session dives deep into crafting a robust archiving and data management strategy for Dynamics 365 F&O and Power Platform / Dataverse. Now that unified environment provisioning lives and dies by available storage, archiving has shifted from afterthought to top priority. We’ll start by examining how F&O’s database and Dataverse storage have merged, translating into capacity calculations for your UDE/USE/UPE deployments. Next, we’ll unpack the tools and techniques to reclaim space: the standard cleanup jobs every F&O admin should schedule, the evolving Archiving framework (and how to extend it to fit your org’s needs), and clever use of the Less Transaction Copy (LTC) approach for dev environments to reduce bloat. Expect technical demos – perhaps a custom script or two – on purging historical data into an external Azure Data Lake and making it available for on-demand reporting via Power BI/Fabric, so your business can have its cake and eat it (fast operational system + preserved old data). We’ll also discuss governance: monitoring storage across environments, handling shared tenant limits, and ensuring compliance when deleting or anonymising data. We’ll even explore viewing archived data through tools like Microsoft Fabric or BPA for reporting, so you clean house without losing insight. Whether you’re an admin worried about storage costs or a developer eyeing an ISV opportunity for smarter data management, you’ll leave with a toolkit to keep your F&O data tidy, performant, and compliant. It’s time to dump the junk – your users (and database) will thank you! Consider this session the follow-up to our “PPAC project kickstart” talk: once you’re live in PPAC, here’s how to keep your data lean, mean, and clean for the long haul.
